Eat. Learn. Succeed.

This year, over 1,300 schools in Washington offer free meals to all students.

Check the map below to see what’s happening at your student’s school.

The Free School Meals map was created using data from the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI). See an issue? Let us know by emailing foodsecurity@uwkc.org.

If your school doesn’t offer free meals for all, your student may still qualify for free school meals.

  • Check your school district’s website to apply. Use OSPI’s Washington School Meals Application Finder to be directed to your school district’s online meal application. If you are unable to find information on applying for free school meals, contact the office at your child’s school directly.

  • Eligibility is based on your family’s income.

  • Students who qualify for free school meals may be eligible to have other school fees waived, including field trip and athletic fees.

  • You do not need to be a citizen to receive school meals. Receiving school meals does not make you a public charge.
