More than 700,000 students in Washington receive free meals during the school year. But when the school year ends, youth lose access to the school meals they rely on. Summer nutrition programs are designed to replace school meals during summer vacation.
Starting in Summer 2024, families can access two summer programs: Free Summer Meals and Summer EBT. These programs are designed to work together to meet kids’ needs during the summer.
