Support your community.

Too many families in Washington are struggling to make ends meet, making an impossible choice between paying bills on time or putting food on the table. Donations help provide urgent support to families across Washington.

Hunger Free Washington is led by United Way of King County.

You can support Hunger Free Washington’s statewide efforts by donating to United Way. United Way of King County is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of U.S. law.

Local food banks also need your support.

Food banks can’t replace SNAP or other federal nutrition programs, but with your help, they can meet families’ urgent needs.

To find a food bank in your community, use the Washington 211 Food Bank Finder. You can also donate to Food Lifeline, Northwest Harvest, or Second Harvest — large food banks that distribute grocery staples to smaller food banks and pantries across the state.

Supporting your community goes beyond giving money.

You can make a difference, even if you aren’t able to donate financially. Your voice matters. When community members join together to advocate, it can have a huge impact. Explore opportunities for advocacy here.
